For some patients a visit to the dentist is an extremely stressful occasion. Even the bravest patient will wince at the taught of going through even a cavity filling, much less a complex dental procedure without some form of sedation. Ridgewood sedation dentistry at Mid-County Endodontic Group believes that no patient should be put in a stressful situation when visiting our office no matter the procedure they are undergoing. The comfort and care of our patients is our topmost concern. While we can’t make having a dental procedure fun our staff will make you as comfortable and pain-free during your visit as possible.
Just as our practice uses the state-of-the art equipment, such as operating microscopes, 3-D cone beam scans and digital radiographs when diagnosing and treating problems, we use the latest sedation techniques to ensure your comfort while undergoing any procedure at Ridgewood sedation dentistry. Whether the procedure you’re here for is a cracked tooth repair, an endodontic treatment or endodontic microsurgery our doctors will use sedation to get you through it in a pain-free manner. To achieve this our office utilizes either nitrous oxide inhalation analgesia, commonly referred to as “laughing gas,” or oral sedative techniques. For those patients that need an extra level of sedation our practice works with a dental anesthesiologist who can provide intravenous sedation, as well as closely monitor the patient during the procedure. Our patients who do opt for IV sedation usually benefit from less post-op discomfort and no memory of the actual procedure.
Using Ridgewood sedation dentistry techniques patients report that the procedures done by our practice had little or no pain associated with them and that their overall stress and anxiety was greatly reduced if not eliminated altogether. In this day and age there is no reason for a patient to suffer through a dental procedure, modern sedation techniques make stress and anxiety, as well as pain part of the “History of Dentistry” and not something that is found in our practice. If you are facing an endodontic procedure let us evaluate your case and determine which sedation technique is best for you.
